Seville - Spain

Welcome to Seville, a captivating destination that seamlessly blends history, culture, and vibrant energy in the heart of Andalusia, the South of Spain. This charming city, bathed in the warm Mediterranean sun, stands as a treasure trove of unique experiences for those who explore its streets.

Seville breathes history in every corner, with monuments that narrate centuries of cultural influences. The imposing Cathedral, declared a UNESCO World Heritage site, invites you to marvel at its Gothic grandeur and ascend the Giralda for panoramic views. Just steps away, the Royal Alcazar unfolds its lush gardens, inviting you to immerse yourself in a world of architectural elegance. Plaza de España, with its semi-circular architecture and tiles representing the provinces of Spain, it is a visual spectacle. Meanwhile, the Santa Cruz Quarter plunges you into the most picturesque side of Seville, with its narrow alleys and flower-filled courtyards.

The flamenco essence of the city unfolds in the Triana Quarter, home to flamenco tablaos and ceramic workshops. Attending a flamenco show is a window into the passion and artistic expression that define this city.

Torre del Oro, on the banks of the Guadalquivir River, adds a touch of mystery with its history as a defensive tower and treasury from the Almohad era. Not to forget Seville's gastronomy, where tapas bars invite you to savour the diversity of traditional dishes at every turn. Immerse yourself in Seville's cultural richness, where the past and present intertwine in a charming dance.

In recent years, Seville has positioned itself as a city of events, hosting multiple conferences and special moments, such as EAIE, the Goya Awards, the Latin Grammy Awards, the UEL Final, and now the Erasmus Generation Meeting (EGM)!

Take advantage of EGM happening in Seville and explore the treasures of a city that captivates with its authenticity, art, and hospitality.

Welcome to Seville, where every step tells a story.

Additional Information

Public Transport

Seville has an extensive public transportation network that allows its users to reach any part of
the city using it. The city has a metro line, a tram line and 55 bus lines. The metro line is managed
by the Junta de Andalucía while both the bus and the streetcar are managed by TUSSAM, a public
company of the City Council of Seville.
Currently, public transportation is subsidised and costs less than half of what it normally costs.

Private Transport

Seville has a public cab company, as well as external companies that allow you to move quickly
around Seville.

How to reach

Seville Airport is the sixth busiest inland airport in Spain. It is the main international airport serving Western Andalusia in southern Spain, and neighbouring provinces.

There is a bus line that connects the airport and the city centre with each other. These tickets
must be purchased on the bus. It’s the only way to go by public transport to the city.
